A less equal and democratic, and more conservative NZ which will concentrate on negative consequences and punishment rather than early or positive interventions, and end up with an even greater proportion of its citizens in prison, (whether as prisoners or warders!), and greater economic and social inequality. NZ will lose its international respect for leadership in human rights, social advances, climate change, innovation, and political nous. It is now governed by novice politicians with little credibility and narrow, hardline economic and social philosophy and intolerant attitudes. Perhaps the unaware populace will become aware of its shallow media,and the restricted, biased, information and political spin to which it is subject, and this will be a good thing.
