Default National bribes Maori party with our money

John Key has struck a deal with the Maori party, to pass the ETS Bill this week, "under urgency", completely ignoring the myriad of evidence that tells us, in no uncertain terms, that this is a scam - a scam to end all scams.

Read all of this: Climategate: the final nail in the coffin of ‘Anthropogenic Global Warming’? – Telegraph Blogs

The rest of the world is "in a flap" over this, but NZ politicians continue to "bury their heads in the sand", "stick their fingers in their ears and sing".

Here's the link to the news article on the Maori party "deal":

Govt strikes deal with Maori Party on ETS bill | Stuff.co.nz

I like this part: "Other concessions won by the Maori Party in return for its support included measures the cushion the blow on low income families by halving power and petrol price rises in comparison with previous estimates, Dr Sharples said".

So there will still, very much at the last estimate, be a "blow" on low income families, just a slightly, very slightly softened blow (about $4 less I believe). Low income families have to "take a hit" because we have a parliament full of cretins who do not have the ability to rationalise things out.

Another quote worth mentioning is: "The government paying for iwi representatives to travel to Copenhagen for world climate change talks next month".

I'm gobsmacked! "The government paying? "Gov't" never pay, we do!!! Where do these retards think they get money from?

It's rather like if I broke into your house and stole your things and sold them to shout my family out to dinner and then claimed "I am paying for their dinner".

It's so typical. While the rest of the world is "cooling over the idea of anthropogenic global warming", the stupid NZ government is saying "we know better". It reminds me of King Canute giving the order to the sea to stop the tide coming in.
