Just to give this argument a wee bit of context: the money that MPs fritter away on bullshit each year is barely the tiniest drop of the budget they're dealing with. Yes, it's still wrong that they sometimes use it unwisely, but it doesn't make them the incarnations of any known demons...

Its Democratic because we vote for our leaders? That is your interpretation of Democracy? come on pull the other one it squirts - ever ask where we are going that we need to be led? even the blind can get a dog that can do that
I found another interpretation of Democracy that seems somewhat more accurate
"Democracy is four wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner"?
The upcoming elections come down to voting for a jonkey that would sell his parents teeth to balance his books today so that future generations have even less to show for previous generations of investments other than enormous debts generated by criminal or corrupt "Political"? activities and/or poor budgeting abilities- or "goffs lot" that reckons that he will not sell off more of the house- but has no better idea of how to run a country than he has of keeping his members on the straight and narrow - the smaller parties are window dressing usually and a vote for one of them is often wasted altogether as with those that voted NZfirst party in the last round
"[KNOWN DEMONS? BATSHITERY? "Just to give this argument a wee bit of context: the money that MPs fritter away on bullshit each year is barely the tiniest drop of the budget they're dealing with]"
No argument there- but in case it hadn't occurred to you the "ethics"(or lack of) displayed by the "frittering away" which you have acknowledged- is also consistent with the ethics(or lack of)applied to that larger budget they're dealing with- accountability or honour appear to be strangers.- or is that the "wee bit of context" you were referring to?
Its ok to use the word Corrupt especially when its applicable but when it has become part of a culture effecting us all- it becomes not so ok-
Voting for any party or leader is stating that you believe that the party will fairly represent the interests of all New Zealanders and be bound by certain rules or codes of behavior in so doing- If there is nobody there likely to warrant that trust it is not wise to vote at all [NO ACCOUNTABILITY]- those of us that choose to not vote for these groups of Scoundrels or Criminals are (by far) becoming the largest group-
