Default Is this forum a little bit quiet?

Hi there,

I have just joined the forum and I have to say I don't see much action going on.
Am I just searching wrong?

Christine.

Default A bit slow that's for sure!

Yes, I too have just joined and it seems the most recent posts are about 2 weeks old. We have so much going on Politically in our Country, I can't believe that there aren't more active discussions going on. Come on People, get talking. And don't be afraid to have your say!

Well I've been trying, but I can't post anything. Only replies to threads.

Default I think "life-less" is the word?

Great to have you here Bruce. Are you a Doctor because I think we need a defibrillator at this forum?

Good. That means that you are interested in something other than rugby and what Beyonce is wearing to the grammies.

So post something, anything. Defend the government's stance on anything at all.

It's all about debate.

I beg to differ. I think Hone should go, and so does everybody else lol.

So, we may have a doctor, I work in the telecommunications industry and a bug. I like where this is heading...

I'm not a doctor I'm afraid. But don't let that deter you from posting about anything that concerns you.

This forum is quiet, eerily quiet. It's as though everyone is entirely happy with the way the country is being "governed".

As for Hone. You know he is not going to be expelled from the party or parliament. The Maori party needs him. I think it is a case of everyone in the party having exactly the same views, but they realise that, as they are in coalition with National, they must be seen to be toeing the line. However, it is good for them to have a "naughty boy" who seems to be out of control and "embarrasses" them all the time, but that's not actually the case. In public they will admonish him, but in private they are patting him on the back and saying "you terrible person, but we still love you and we forgive you". He actually hasn't done any harm to the Maori party, has a lot of support up north.

National is not going to "kick up" because they need the Maori party. They have just proved that they do, and since when have they ever cared what the public thinks?

Expect more of the same!
