Default NSW gov't recording features for face recognition technology

I think that - since the 1998 "driving licence" fiasco - it is now pretty clear that what happens in NSW soon follows here. NSW's "driving licence" policies are what "inspired" the deception in NZ at the time.

So now this is happening in NSW, can we expect it to follow here (or maybe it already has)

I sent a series of letter to the then minister of transport, the privacy commissioner, the land transport assn, the PM, to name a few in the years closely following 1998 asking that same question, and also others. However, I never got any replies (just some unbelievably silly answers to questions that I hadn't even asked) and I kept asking the same questions for a while until I realised that I didn't have time to keep it up and these government departments had a massive staff and an unlimited budget, plus unlimited time to fight me, so I gave up.

This article is amazing. You don't even have to "read" any "conspiracy theories" into it, they are all there in the article.
